Israel and Palestine facing a mutual enemy?

Technically speaking, Britain had a huge part in today's ongoing conflict between the arabs and the hebrews. Theoretically speaking, what will happen if Britain wanted to capture its previous mandate of palestine, or not Britain but any non-arab country that declares a war on palestine/Israel. Will they be united to defend the land?
