My father was tragically killed, leaving no will, am I entitled to any inheritance?

I'm so sorry to hear about your dad's death, also the messy stuff around it. The same thing happened to me, just go to court and petition to be made executor of the estate (family court). You have rights, an unmarried partner does not. Not sure about the kids. Oh, and I got all the money, well I split with my sisters and gave the lady the house and five grand. Good luck.
