Is actress Gwyneth Paltrow really related to Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords...?

...I watched NBC's "Who Do You Think You Are?" ancestry show last nite, and they did Gwyneth's ancestry. I thought I heard several months ago when Rep. Giffords was tragically shot in the head in Tucson that they were related, but they didn't mention it in the segment.
