Did circumcision actually used to be torturous until recently when pain control started being used?NOT AGAINST?

Is it my parental right to circ my daughter? No, its called female genital mutilation even though its biologically the same procedure ( removal of the clitoral hood). It does hurt baby boys, we have studies to show that. If we did it to baby girls.. would they remember the pain.. no, but that doesnt make it ok. The procedure is inhumane, tragic and traumatically painful and should be saved for adult men who would like to have the procedure done and get LOTS of paid meds for it. Just because you husband suffered the pain and doesn't remember it doesn't make it ok to repeat a mistake.. and the recommendation has changed.. so the doctors were wrong.. they made a mistake in making the recommendation in the first place. Why do so may decide to ignore the current recommendation??
